Genesis 1:26

Morning all!

Ive been meditating on Genesis 1:26. It says that I am made in God’s image and likeness. Image draws me to the more visible or physical aspects of myself, and likeness to the rest, my spirit, my intellect, my emotions etc. Inside and out, I am in His likeness. I do not have to stress about what I don’t have going for me because I am as God is. That means I can love the unlovable, and love myself completely! Hey, that even means I don’t need to care what other people’s opinions of me are, because according to God I am in his likeness.

Does that mean I am beautiful? Yes! Does that mean I am intelligent and creative? Yes!! And does that mean I am better than others? No. This is actually a responsibility. If I’m going to go around believing that I am godlike, then it must show in my character. All this means is that I have no excuses like, “I can’t do it, it’s not my strength.” If I don’t want to do something because it does not interest me, fine but not because I feel that I am not able to, the bible says that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This means that I can’t say “I’m out of ideas” because I can’t run out of ideas, I have the mind of Christ! Hey, this means so much to me and I hope you too will read Genesis 1: 26 and see life open up unto you as well. If you want to do that PhD, what’s stopping you? And if you want to sing, go ahead, because you are not a failure if God isn’t one.

For me this means that I will no longer see myself as anything below the best when it comes to writing AND designing. I will have as many published articles as I write, and I will lack nothing. As God declared existence into being, I can declare life into being concerning my health, my home, all that concerns me. Guys, we need God and Jesus is the way to God, the truth about God and the light concerning God. We need Jesus to get to the Father (that is God).

The good news is that receiving Jesus as your lord and saviour is so easy, you don’t need to be perfect! All you need is to believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose up again, and to confess with your mouth that he is Lord. Say out loud,

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner I cannot help myself. I believe with my heart that you came down from heaven, that you died for me and rose up again so that my sin may be forgiven. I confess with my mouth right now that you are Lord. I am saved, cleansed of all sin and freed from condemnation.”

See how simple it is! Now you can have the confidence that you belong to God, get a bible, study it daily and pray in the name of Jesus.
